Simple Herbal Syrup

IMG_4681
1 cup water

2 cups sugar

¼ c herbs (lavender, mint, chamomile, or herb of choice)

Combine water and herbs. Bring to a boil.  Strain.  Mix herb tea with sugar.  Return to medium-low heat.  Heat and stir until dissolved.  Cool and store in a glass jar.

Refrigerate for up to one week or freeze for later use.  Great to use for Lavender Lemonade, to sweeten teas, or to use as a medicinal syrup.
